What this website records, and how personal data in a policy or a claim is handled.

This website

  • This website collects nothing. There is nothing on it that records a visit, and nothing on it that reaches a server when you read a page.
  • This website sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and loads nothing from a third party. Fonts and every other asset are served from this site.
  • The sign in page shows the two fields a customer portal asks for. In this demonstration environment nothing typed into them is read, kept or sent anywhere, and there is no portal behind them.
  • A message sent to one of the mailboxes is handled as personal data, in the way set out below.

Personal data in a policy or a claim

  • Where a policy or a claim exists, Kustwal processes the personal data needed to carry it: who is insured, what happened, and what was decided.
  • Data about a claim is kept with that claim, and is available to the people handling it.
  • A complaint is handled by the complaints team, and the file of a complaint is kept apart from the claim file it is about.

Your rights

  • You can ask what personal data is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, and ask for a copy.
  • You can object to processing, and ask for data to be erased where it no longer has to be kept.
  • A request is answered in writing.
